Another great season is in the books as the Chants were able to tack on a second consecutive ACCHL championship this past season defeating the Liberty Flames 3-1 in the playoff championship final held at Liberty University. The Chants have actually won 3 league titles in the last 4 years all against their arch rival Liberty Flames.
The 2019 Chants beat Liberty in overtime 4-3 at Liberty to claim their first ever league title. In 2021, the Chants again went to overtime with the Flames and won 3-2 at the Winston – Salem Fairgrounds after posting huge comeback wins against Tennessee and East Carolina in the quarterfinal and semifinal contests.
CCU enters the 2022-2023 season looking for 3 championships in a row starting with their first regular season games September 23rd and 24th vs. Appalachian State. Both games are 10pm starts at the Ice House in Wilmington, NC. come on out and support the team as they go for a “Three-Peat”.
